ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï welcomes Consul General of Japan
The University of the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Islands (ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï) was honoured to welcome Consul General of Japan, Mr Katsutoshi Takeda, and Deputy Consul General, Ms Minori Ishii, to ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï House in Inverness on Thursday 3 July.
During the visit, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï representatives and the Consul General’s delegation discussed opportunities for future collaboration, welcoming Japanese companies into the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Islands and strengthening ties between the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Islands, Moray and Perthshire of Scotland and Japan. The visit marks an important step towards developing international partnerships that will benefit students, staff and communities across ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s regions.

Vicki Nairn, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Principal and Vice-Chancellor, said:

Discussions are expected to continue, with further visits and joint initiatives planned.
