Three of the Centre for History's PhD students presented papers at the recent ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Postgraduate Research Conference in Stornoway. Wade Cormack's paper was on ‘The development of sport and physical education in Scotland's northern mainland burghs, 1600-1800’; Mary Souter's was on ‘Public Health in the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Islands of Scotland, 1845-1912’; and Linda Ross gave her paper on ‘The Dounreay Nuclear Establishments and its impact on the Northern ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï of Scotland’.
